Lhotse

Arrived in Kathmandu on April 3rd, 2024. At this point, we were still waiting for Shishapangma permits, so I decided to trek into the Khumbu Valley to acclimatize at Everest Base Camp. I have always enjoyed trekking in the Khumbu Valley and visiting my Sherpa friends that I’ve met over the years. I figured this would be a good way to prepare for Shishapangma if we received our permits; if not, I would be in place to start climbing Lhotse. The trek began with a helicopter flight to Lukla and then to Namche.
